This design transforms a tired 1968 apartment building into a
contemporary condominium community in one of Seattle’s hippest urban
neighborhoods. In close collaboration with engineers and envelope
technicians, PLACE redesigned the building to enhance existing
amenities including fabulous views and abundant natural light, while
providing systems upgrades for a healthier, more energy-efficient
environment. A new entry features a glass and steel canopy, new
lighting and signage. Updated unit balconies open up to reveal
phenomenal downtown, lake and mountain views; and generous, energy
efficient, operable windows replace old single panes. New paint,
landscaping and designer kitchens, bathrooms, common areas and
interior hallways will beckon visitors - providing a vastly improved
experience through minimal means.
